Was told by doctor either miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy

I everyone I have been reading some of the post and I am amazed how alot of pregnancies do not fit the norm and doctor's are so quick to offer D&C or methotrexate shot.

My story:
LMP 9/29/07 Norm 29 day cycle
PPT 11/3/07
First doctors appointment 11/15/07 should be 6wk. 5 days, ultrasound showed no pregnancy, very thin endometerium. My doctor said no way could this be a normal pregnancy either miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.
HCG levels 11/15/07 900
Hcg levels 11/17/07 1900
Hcg levels 11/19/07 3938
11/18/07 My doctor called me to let me know my levels and she thinks must be ectopic b/c there was nothing seen on ultrasound and the hcg is doubling. She wanted me to get blood work (11/19) to check my kidney function and scheduled me to come in 11/20/07 for methotrexate shot to dissolve the pregnancy, she also checked my hcg levels which were 3938, doubled again in 48 hrs. On 11/20/07 I told the doctor I feel this is a normal pregnancy (I have had some bleeding but no pain) and that I wanted another u/s before the methotrexate shot. Upon ultasound the doctor found a gestational sac and a yolk sac that measured 5 wks 6 days, not 7 wks 4 days like we had thought. I go back tomorrow for another u/s will be 6w 4 d, hope to see hb. wil keep you posted

-UPDATE- Just had an ultrasound saw my baby with a hb. Is anyone going threw a similar situation.

**UPDATE**
I had a Nuchal transluncency screening on 1/3/08. My baby's nuchal fold measured 1.3 millimeters which is in normal range. The baby was moving alot so it took about 45 minutes for the sonogram but I enjoyed every minute so much. My husband and I got to watch our baby put its hand in its mouth and touch its face, it was so sweet. It was changing position say the radiology tech had to move me in all diffent direction to get the perfect measurement of the lymph fluid.

I can't believe how much we have gone through during this pregnancy and I feel so blessed that the baby is doing so well. I am so glad I found this web site all your stories and well wishes helped me get through a very tough time. So many stories that made me cry when I read them made me feel guilty for my good outcome of this pregnancy and my other children. I realize the success stories give us hope. There are so many amazing women on this site. I am so glad we can be there for each other in good times and bad.
