I was told I needed to go into have a D&C and had scheduled it for the next day after being told I was miscarrying at 6 weeks. I found this site and decided that I should consider that maybe they were wrong. My doctor advised me to take some time and then reschedule. I did do just that and went in 5 days later to have the D&C. The nurse said I looked unsure and I told her that after 2 miscarriages I really felt this one was going to happen. She said just to be sure she would perform another ultrasound but my surgery had moved to a few hours later. Of course she said that I had indeed miscarried but then looked puzzled and called someone else in and then another person came in and guess what???
There was a second baby with a beautiful heartbeat. I'm greatful to this site for giving me the hope that so many had taken away. I went to several u/s after that and was told that it wouldn't make it but the technician told us (after the doctor left) that he had hope. My daughter, Briseis, was born July 29. I truly believe God directed me to this site to give me hope. Thank you so much!
Keeping hope always,
Vanessa Guadarrama

If you are being diagnosed with a blighted ovum after IVF, please take a look at this article I put together: Misdiagnosed Miscarriage After IVF
and why I just believe a blighted ovum should NOT be diagnosed before nine weeks at the earliest and the UK's new guidelines support this
