Told: "I am so sorry, you will miscarry again."

8 days ago I was told there was no hope, my levels before my u/s were as follows.
9/2/08 – Positive home HTP

9/3/08 – Blood work – HCG-96 / Progesterone -27

9/5/08 – Blood work – HCG-187 / Progesterone – 6.7

Then I had a u/s on 9/11-Said did not look good tiny grey sac no yolk, pole, baby nothing. She said she was so sorry and that I would miscarry again.
I left the office terribly upset, I had just miscarried 2 months ago at the same time (very early in pregnancy)
I decided to have my levels checked again the next day. The doc said not to bother that they could still be showing normal.
Here were my results:

9/12/08 – Blood work – HCG-3067 / Progesterone – 28.4

They had increased by 112% every two days and my prog was back up. I figured well...she could still be right it may just go down from here. So I tested them again a few days later and they were:

9/15/08 – Blood work – HCG-6250 / Progesterone - 51.9

I went for a u/s with a different doc (same office) on 9/18 and we saw:
A perfect pregnancy for 6 weeks and 2 days, which matched my last period. We even saw the heatbeat!!! The doc said everything looks great!

You have to be your own advocate, the doctors are not always right. Luckily my doc said nothing about d&c at the original appt. I don't believe there office does that unless they have to.

Please wish me luck for the rest of this pregnancy, I feel better now but am still scared.
