Opinion please~Is cycle day 26 to early for a BFP?

Hi gals,

My doc gave me a test in the office the other day and it was a :bfn: but I have been severely nauseated and got sick twice. Maybe it is wishful thinking but I am thinking day 26 was too early. Would it be safe to test again today. I am so impatient here~ :distressed:

Mel,

Was the test a urine test? How many days ago was it? If it was a urine, then it definitely could have been too soon, and even if it was a blood test it could have been too soon if you O'd a day or two late or if you implanted a little late. I say take another test and see what happens! Good luck!

God bless

I am thinking of getting a test tonight when we go to the grocery store. I am so nervous. I told the doc I have no idea what day I O'd cause the OPK was negative on the 13th so maybe it is still too soon. My question is where is this nausea coming from? LOL..I didnt have it last time.

I want this so bad. If I am not pg this cycle I have to take 7.5 mg of femara (letrazole) this coming cycle.

Praying for a :bfp: tonight~~ :cheer:

I got my BFP at home on Answer early at Cycle Day 23 (11 DPO) but at the dr, office the urine test was BFN. The blood test on the same day was a beta of 26 so it is entirely possible.

My last pregnancy I had like 20 home test come up BFP but when I went to the doctor it said BFN. So I begged to come back in the morning for a better test...BFN again I couldn't believe it. So then I asked for another test. I took one of my home test with me and dipped it in the same pee that I gave the doctor. Me and his nurse watched as my test came up BFP and his said BFN again. I was soooooooo confused. And the doctor didn't help. He WAS my family doctor and he told me that I wasn't pregnant maybe next month but to go home and stop buying test because I was not pregnant. So of course after like 20 BFP's I knew something was happening....I don't know what was wrong with his test but when I got a blood test done not long after that my levels were pretty high. I forget what they were but they were high. I have a file that the numbers are in but I just can't move right now...sorry if I do I will :ill: If you want the actual numbers I can post them for you later...sorry just not now. Anyway I hope this helps.

Mel,

I wish you good luck with your pg test and I hope you get a :bfp: real soon.

I know when I thought I was pg I took a test almost everyday. I went to the Dollar General and you can get them there for only $1.00 around here. If you are like me I wanted to test everyday just to make sure and getting them at the D.G. was the way to do it.

I wish you luck and I hope to be pg with you soon :pregnant

Hi Amy thanks for the advice. After I bought the 3 test which where 18.00 I realized I could get them at the dollar store. The dollar store was closed cause it was after 9pm but I am going to make sure to get them there next time.

I told my husband it is just crazy what they charge (especially geared towards woman) to have a baby. If it dont drive you insane it will make you broke for sure..lol

Take care,

Nope not yet and I have no idea why? My last period was May 6 so according to my calculations that makes me 1 day late. I dont know why the chart says cycle day 2 I put in May 6.. :hmmm:

DH is happy cause AF hasnt come but I keep wondering why...Is it a bad trick on her part..

You could have O'd a few days late and then that sets AF back a few days. It all about when you ovulate. I found that out big time this cycle! My dr said I'll probably have a 35 day cycle which is rare for me.

Hmmm I dont know. All I know is I have always had a 28 day cycle. Of course now that I had the miscarriage maybe it will change. It kinda makes you paranoid.

My husband thinks I am pregnant but men are simple minded if you miss your period you just must be..lol

Why don't you start charting now? Maybe your temps will help you figure this out. Unfortunately you can't depend on that 28 day cycle after a m/c. Your body might seem back to normal but then it throws you for a loop...at least that's what mine did. I used to be able to tell time by my cycle.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your posts so keep us updated.

Well AF came this morning.. so that makes my CD 30 which is really weird I have never gone that long. I am with you Dawn I used to tell time with my cycle. Is 30 days still normal?? Hmm definitely have to chart or something. I dont like taking temps cause I forgot sometimes but I do other things like OPK and stuff.

Take care guys. Babydust to All!! :yay:

Before I had my son, my cycles were 36 & 37 days! I once went 40 days and thought this HAS to be it! Nope! Ol' AF showed! I had 2 m/c's and then things went to 28-30 day cycles. I had my son and now my cycles are 26-28 days! Go Figure! Dawn's right, we really can't count on things the way we used to. Charting is very helpful, and I like the fact that I can keep track of each month to compare my temps, symptoms, medications, and the rise and fall of them, and the length. It really helps the dr. if he has any questions, or if you need to see a specialist.
I am sorry AF came this month, but at least you know that things are trying to get back to normal (whatever that means anymore  )
Hang in there, we'll be here for you and continue praying for that BFP!
