Oh, I see. Why are you using the Clomid? I talked with a woman at church yesterday who used the Clomid about 5 years ago.

I am not going to do anything like that. We're open to just letting what will happen, happen. I will trust in God's Wisdom. But it is tempting! <smile>

It must be exciting to know you are going to try again and probably be successful!

Hi Suzi...My luteal phase was 10 days. Dr. said that wasn't long enough so he put me on the Crinone gel.

Hi Suzy,I'm on Folic acid and Bio-Selenium with zinc, vitamin c,E and B6 in it.Selenium is good for DNA and the renewal of our cells,as well as helping to preserve men and women's fertility. My husband is taking the selenium and folic acid too.
I've read that some women who miscarry lack B6.As a woman gets older i've been told her blood can thicken that's why baby aspirin can help up to the first trimester.Although all my tests came back negative for all my loss and the one my husband took too,I was told by the consultant that they'd prescribe the baby aspirin for me next time.
I'm 40+ .

Pregnant again after m/c in January!

Postby suzidoer » Wed Jun 10, 2009 1:51 pm

Hello, I had to come back here to this site because it was a life saver for me emotionally when I went through my m/c of twins in January of 09.

Guess what? I'm pregnant again! I took a test a couple of days ago because of sore breasts and nausea and even though my period wasn't due for a couple of days, the preg test stick had two lines! Although, one line is fainter, but it's an early indicator!

Doc said to come in about 3 days for blood work. He called in prescription for progesterone suppositories and told me to take a baby aspirin each day.

I've not done the progesterone before.

I'm don't know how to feel. Of course I'm excited, but still deep down inside, I feel great fear about another miscarriage. God please give me your Grace to handle this.

Well, my HCG level at 4wk 2 days, or 17 dpo, was only 13. I know that hcg levels are not the final word; however, this was the problem with my last miscarriage. 2200 at 8 wks was my highest number at my last miscarriage 6 mos ago at 9 wks, twins.

I'm praying to stay strong, and I feel strong and very pregnant with serious sore breasts and nausea.

This site is a blessing for me, I like to come here and just read the posts. It gives me comfort. Thanks Kay.

Hello All,

I lost our baby on 9/27/09, I bled for a good 2 weeks and then got my period 10/30. I thought i may be preggers cuz i was so tender in the brest and sleepy.

I think i oval on and around the 13th and think i am due to start af on the 27th of nov. I have had real mild cramps and a little ach feeling for the last 2 weeks.

My question is should i be asking my dr if i should be taking anything special?? I see here lots of youo all are taking stuff to help get pg. Maybee i am just in too big of a hurry?

Hello,
I am 46 and my ob/gyn has me on extra folic acid 5 mg daily plus prenatal vitamins. I have had 8 pregnancies, 6 surviving. My oldest is 20 yrs old, my youngest being 2 yrs old, no multiples. I lost a little one between my 4 yr old and 2 yr old due to Trisomy 18 (not compatible with life anomolies) half way through. I just m/c last week, 8 weeks pregnant. My specialist says it is not age related and that my fertility tests are coming back very strong. So he suggested that I wait 4 weeks or until another cycle before ttc again. I am hoping for just one more baby :)

I am so happy to hear your dr feels everything is on track for another baby..it sure gives those of us who waited or are still wanting hope. I am so sorry for your recent loss, but am really excited you are trying again. My sister is 42 and got pg on bc, i think we are not as old as all that anymore LOL. Here's to a short wait and regular cycles. Keep in touch and maybe join the group on the main page, we have a tsunami of BFP's take great care!

Hi,
I'm just wandering if you've heard of fertilaid. It''s a multi vitamin complex and 1 of it's main ingredients is vitex ( chasteberry) which balances the hormones.
I am from the UK, but I ordered it from the US. Within1 months supply I got pregnant in Dec just gone, but unfortunately had a chemical pregnancy. I went back on it immediately because I believe it helped me to concieve after my last m/c in summer 2008.

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried this or if you have wether it worked for you or not.
Apart from this I thought it would be good to recommend this as it may become someone's success story.

God bless you.

I have been thinking of taking vitex (chasteberry) I will go to GNC and see if they have it. I'm also taking red raspberry tea because I've heard it helps with fertility. Anyone else tried the red raspberry tea? I just started taking it today CD13.

Hi, I'm new here, and just finished an anxiety filled week after an utrasound with empty sac (baby found today, yay!)

I am 7 weeks along and 1 month shy of my 40th birthday, and I conceived this one 2.5 months after a mmc/d&c

I wanted to share with you what I did for 2 months, in case it helps anyone.
I was shattered after the mmc. first on my list was Dr. google. I diagnosed myself with AS. this is a long story but 2 months later a diagnostic hysteroscopy fixed the adhesion that was blocking my cervix. during this time, I knew I could not conceive, and was focused on making myself strong and healthy again.

1. acupuncture weekly with fertility TCM person
2. follow diet he reccomended. not too different than what I normally eat, but then I have kept very healthy eating habits my whole life. He increased my protein.
3. read taking charge of your fertility, learned about charting, bbt, fertile cm
4. learned I was using OPK kits wrong!!!! they need to be done in the afternoon, NOT morning. by morning, most of the surge is done and most likely by the time you BD at night you will miss the egg.
5. Loaded up on vitamins - B complex, CQ10, Omega3, Iron, whole foods multi for women, EPO, Royal jelly
6. Warm Castor oil pack every day (to heal uterus) and self fertility massage
7. excersize - to increase blood flow. Walking (45-60 min ). and something to move the pelvise, I did hoola hoop out in the yard.
8. snacked on pumpkin and sunflower seeds daily. they are loaded with minerals. also gave to husband
9. smoothies with fruit, kale, and added maca powder, wheat grass powder, and virgin coconut oil. (yummy and good for you fat)
10. Once I was able to ttc, I charted, and used the Sperm meets egg plan (SMEP)

I'm not sure what did it, maybe the combo, but it worked, first time.
