Cyndi, thank you for always being right there with support and prayers. It is such a boost to me emotionally and mentally.

April, thank you, I am 7 weeks right now...

I am headed in for my appointment in 15 minutes. Last night at 3 am I awoke having to go to the bathroom, and when I wiped for the first time there was quite a gush and a much larger amount of reddish colored blood, still brown tinged but definately some red in there...very dark. With that amount I went back to bed expecting cramps or something but nothing came and this morning it was back to the brown spotting, so I am hoping I can recieve answers, reassurance, anything today! Thank you again to everyone on this site! I will update when I get home!

Ok, we have one more good step! Today we saw a little hb at 120bpm!!!! Fetus and sac measured perfectly with such a beautiful flicker. I do however have a bleed surrounding the placenta which the doctor feels puts this pregnancy at a 50/50 chance of making it through the first trimester. I just truly am uncertain internally. I was so excited in one sense to see that hb and yet to know that we have made it this far and will still be threatened as long as this bleed continues. I know you all have used many prayers already for me and my little one but I am asking if you can all please continue to keep my little one in your prayers that he or she is stronger than the unexplained bleeding and we are able to sail through this and that I will hold him or her in my arms this fall! Thank you and I will keep everyone updated. It was a fairly large bleed that they could see, so I am worried but trying very hard to focus on that beautiful flicker we saw today! Oh and we even took pictures of the hb count as well as pics of the baby! My husband of course stole them all and took them to work but that too made me smile!

havent updated as all is exactly the same, I am looking early pregnant, feeling pregnant, acting hormonal and falling asleep at ridiculous hours, and yet still the bleeding continues, some days heavier than others. I do not see the dr again until the 28th which seems an eternity away at the moment... I am not really panicking and yet I am scared internally...It is very frustrating. Just wanted to update...

Oh Kat, please hang in there. I know all too well what you are going through. I bled so heavily at 12 and 17 weeks with my son. I soaked through a pad and the front seat of our car during the five minute trip to the ER. I pretty much bled or spotted the whole trimester. Turns out my placenta had had a 'stroke'. I am so relieved to hear you saw the heartbeat. I'll be praying that little one just stay strong. I'll probably be praying just a bit more for you than usual simply because I relate all too well what you are going through so just know, you and this little one are not forgotten in any way.

I am definately hanging in there. Most of the time I am very positive in spirit because I know as long as it stays old blood, it is not my baby! It only takes a moment of worry about it though to cause that panicky feeling so I have to somewhat moniter myself with the worry factor and be ready with the reassurances for myself. My dh has been amazing, he wants either a Daniel or a Danielle so he calls me at least 3-4 times a day and says, "so, hows Dani doing?" I am not going to have a choice if he keeps saying this name over and over...lol. Then on Friday he called me from work to say he has found a couple of boutique style nursery furniture places that he wants us to look at, and do I need a day bed and on and on....(first of all, I am quite thrilled with shopping at babies r us), and second off, I am now 8 weeks...LOL! I am not quite ready to be crib shopping. I think I am holding back emotionally, as much as my heart smiles when he says these things, its somewhat muted, until I feel safe. So, I am hanging on, hanging in and I only want to whisper this so my body doesnt hear me but there was no bleeding since noon today!
Kay, thank you, it always helps to hear that encouragement from one who has not only gone through it but done so with beautiful success. Helps to stay positive. To all the wonderful friends cheering me on in here, I feel so absolutely blessed and cherish the gift of this site in my life, thank you!
