low progesterone=miscarriage?!

Hi all, my first time visiting here. grasping at straws here. I am 7 weeks tomorrow 10/19. LMP 8/31/16. had an u/s today 10/18 showed an empty sac, nothing inside. no fetal pole or yolk. last week also an u/s very small sac. unk if sac grew from last week as doctor needed to check prior u/s scan. hcg was rising but not perfect.

dr last week (not mine but a diff doc same practice said likely m/c bc of my low progesterone level but gave me the progesterone supplements just in case). my regular doc today said not out of the woods but she said could be misdated and didnt want to give me any answer until next week after getting hcg levels and seeing if any growth

9/28 31
10/3 69 (5 days later)
10/5 119
10/12 986

progesterone level on 10/12 was 5.5 VERY LOW :(
started on vaginal progesterone supplements 200 mg 2 x a day. getting blood work again for hcg to see if its still rising. any hope here?

If your numbers are still going up, there may be hope. Let's see if the supplements help. (((hugs)))
