9 weeks, diagnosed partial molar.. help?

Postby vjlanier » Sat Jul 05, 2014 2:44 pm

My first sonogram was when I should have bwen 8 weeks along. I had had no problems beaides the normal nausea. During ultrasound there was no heartbeat and what should have been baby was only measuring 6w 2d. There was also a mass which they said was either a fibroid or polyp attached to uterus. Doc gave me hope and told me to come back for a repeat transvaginal ultrasound tye following week. So july 2 we went back after a week of hope and lots of prayer and again no heartbeat and this time my ultrasound tech said I had a snowman.. had one mass on top of the other. Doc said he believed this time he was seeing a partial molar preg and wanted bloodwork and another week wait with a follow-up. My hcg levels were over 79, 000. Can I still have hope??? Doc said he wantes to make sure it wasn't just a strange presentation of twins but was already getting me ready to plan a d&c. Please help!! Any advice is welcomed!

I have no experience with that, but unjust wanted to say best of luck for everything. I'm glad your doctor is waiting a bit to verify.

Took a while to respond but this ended in a D&C. After about 5 different ultrasounds with no heartbeat and no growth of baby the doc finally talked me into a D&C. I wanted to miscarry naturally if I was going to but they were getting a little worried about the possibility of infection. I was 11 weeks at the time. But my baby is in heaven and we are trying again! God bless each one of you that are going through this scary and confusing situation. Just put it all in the Lord's hands and He will see you through.

I am so sorry. I'm assuming this was not a partial molar after all? Best wishes to you. I hope you get some good news soon. Thank you for the update.
