Possible Ectopic??

Possible Ectopic??

Postby thebunn » Fri Aug 29, 2008 12:23 pm

I was diagnosed with a miscarriage in the ER about 2 weeks ago, pretty much because of a low HCG of 82 and bright red bleeding with clots. THe intern who examined me said that my cervix was open. The ER sonograms showed nothing because I was so early in the pregnancy.

I went to follow-up with the doctor 6 days later and we did blood work just to ensure everything had passed. My HCG was about 550! We repeated bloodwork two days later and I was at 1400. My doctor is concerned about an ectopic pregnancy, so I went in today for an ultrasound. They saw absolutely nothing; they thought they might have seen something in the uterus, but determined it was not the baby. So, more beta testing and another appointment on Tuesday. It sounds like I'm just waiting for an ectopic pregnancy to be ruled out??

Just curious is anyone else has been diagnosed with a M/C and an open cervix, but actually has a viable pregnancy... thank you!!
