expected Blighted Ovum

Postby ambreen » Mon Mar 20, 2017 7:45 am

Hi Girls,
today i'm sharing what i'm going through currently. My LMP was Jan 11, 2017, and doc had my first Ultrasound on March 3, 2017 which showed a gestational sac of 8mm at gestational age of 5 weeks, no fetal pole at the moment.
She asked me to come again in 2 weeks on March 17, 2017.
On march 17, i again had an ultrasound which showed again only gestational sac of 11.3mm corresponding again to gestational age of 5 weeks. she said its 99% that i'm heading towards blighted ovum miscarriage. but i didn't had any spotting, bleeding or cramps uptill now.
what do u guys suggest me at the moment ??? should i wait for another 1 or 2 weeks to make things clear, and opt for any other doctor to have a second opinion??? things r very confusing and heart breaking for me. Plz i need help.

Another ultrasound a week out should tell you if the sac is still growing and if there is still hope. (((hugs)))

and why I just believe a blighted ovum should NOT be diagnosed before nine weeks at the earliest and the UK's new guidelines support this
